I have made right after the basketball game. Also by using Blender/Unity3D. I stopped the work, because I figured out that Unity3D (not Pro) doesn’t even cast real-time shadows.
I made this a year and a half ago. Better late than never!
Made with Blender and Unity3D.
So I finished school last summer and I have worked for 9 months. I will start post regularly and keep you up-to-date about my projects.
Today I made a quick material test with Cycles. I’m pretty happy with the result-time ratio. With only a few steps you can get a nice, shiny gold material.
5k samples, 2h rendertime
Recently, I discovered the cycles render engine. I haven’t had any time and that’s why I noticed Cycles so late. It seems to be the engine of my dreams, because it works like LuxRender but cleaner. It is still under heavy development, but when Cycles is included to Blender it will be a very popular engine.
Here is a quick shot I made in five minutes to try out the “new” Cycles Renderer.
I hope you like it. I’ll do some more stuff with Cycles!
